iGET SECURITY M5-4G Lite
is the ideal smart security system for all types of buildings—houses, apartments, cottages, offices, garages, stores, warehouses, government offices, and more. It is a wireless alarm system that is easy to install and control, and it does more than just secure your home. You can use it to remotely or via a timer control electrical appliances using smart outlets, and also monitor what’s happening at any time via IP cameras. In the event of an alarm, the system triggers recording on the IP camera and shares the video with the app on your mobile phone. All sensors are wireless; most are battery-powered with a battery life of up to 5 years, while the main unit is powered by a 230 V mains supply (but also has its own backup battery with a minimum runtime of 8 hours). This ensures the property is constantly monitored by the backup battery, even during a power outage. It also has a backup Internet connection; if the connection via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable is lost, it automatically switches to the 4G LTE data network, or vice versa. It can also send SMS messages regarding the alarm status and alerts.
App
An app is available for control, freely accessible on Google Play and the iOS App Store. The app is completely free at all times. Using this app, you can easily configure all settings, add sensors, control IP cameras, smart outlets, and more. The app is available in Czech, Slovak, Polish, Hungarian, English, and many other languages. A single app thus combines the setup and control of the alarm, IP cameras, smart buttons, and controlled outlets—all-in-one. The app also supports a special alert feature for the iOS platform—Critical Alerts.
Wireless Transmission and Security
Sensors are connected to the main unit via wireless transmission with a range of up to 1 km. This wireless transmission operates at a frequency of 868.35 MHz and features the world’s strongest security: MD5 + SHA256. This special 256-bit algorithm has never been cracked anywhere in the world. Despite this special security and the sensors’ vast range to the main unit, the sensors have a battery life of up to 5 years. Furthermore, the alarm communicates with the Internet via special secure European Google servers compliant with GDPR, which establish a connection between the alarm and a mobile phone. Additionally, the M5-4G supports Bluetooth connectivity, which greatly simplifies the initial setup of the main unit.
Connection to a Central Monitoring Station (CMS)
The iGET SECURITY M5-4G alarm also supports connection to a Central Monitoring Station (CMS). This allows the alarm to be connected to security agencies that will monitor your property. Specifically, it supports CMS types such as Contact ID and SIA-09.
Extensive portfolio of additional accessories and controls
All accessories compatible with the iGET SECURITY M5-4G alarm are labeled iGET SECURITY EPxx (where xx denotes numbers 01 through 99). Connecting sensors to the central unit requires no wiring or complicated setup. The sensors are wireless and most are battery-powered; adding them to the system takes just a few minutes. The sensors have a range of up to 1 km from the main unit. Simply insert the batteries, scan the code on the sensor with your phone, and place it in the room. An unlimited number of additional accessories can be added to the alarm.
Activating and deactivating the alarm is also quick and easy, using either a wireless key fob, wireless keypad, RFID chip, or mobile app. The durable key fobs also serve as remote controls for the alarm. They can be used to activate/deactivate the alarm, trigger an SOS alert, or set the Home mode for only specific zones.
"Care"
Mode
This is a special feature for caring for elderly parents or other household members. The user selects which sensors and during what time period should monitor the activity of the person being cared for in the given property, and if no activity is detected during the selected time, the alarm alerts the user via a notification. Care Mode is activated in Home and Disabled modes.
"Doorbell" Function for Homes and Stores
For use in stores, the user can select which sensor should respond. For example, the door sensor works such that when the contact is broken, the alarm plays a selected melody (the alarm must be in Home or Disabled mode); in Active mode, this sensor triggers an alarm. For home use, the EP7 smart button can be used for a classic doorbell ring; the alarm can be in any mode. For this feature, the EP24 indoor siren must be paired with the system.
Control
of 230V
Smart Outlets
The iGET SECURITY M5-4G
alarm system offers not only security but also smart home control. Using the iGET EP16
remotely controlled outlets to manage a single 230V appliance, you can control lighting, heating, or air conditioning, for example. The outlet is plugged into a standard wall outlet, and the selected appliance is plugged into it. You can turn it on/off remotely, set a timer, or link it to a specific function. The iGET SECURITY DP16
outlet allows you to measure energy consumption.
IP Cameras
The iGET SECURITY M5-4G alarm system can be expanded with wireless Full HD IP cameras: the iGET SECURITY EP15 (indoor pan-tilt with audio), EP18 (outdoor fixed with audio), and EP20 (indoor fixed with audio). You can always connect to these cameras via online data transmission. The cameras connect to the wireless network via WiFi.
How the alarm communicates with the app/phone
The iGET SECURITY M5-4G alarm is connected to the Internet and automatically communicates with the server. An Internet connection for the M5-4G is required and can be established via a Wi-Fi connection (the alarm supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n at 150 Mbps), via an Ethernet cable with an RJ45 connector (10/100 Mbps), or via 4G LTE mobile data. The user’s mobile phone must be connected to the Internet via a data connection or Wi-Fi so that the alarm can communicate with the mobile phone. The alarm also supports sending SMS messages via a basic GSM connection. Wireless IP cameras are directly connected to your home Wi-Fi network with an Internet connection, just like the M5-4G alarm.
"Ready to Arm"
Feature
When switching to Active mode, the main unit checks whether all windows and doors are closed; if not, it notifies you which windows/doors remain open. The user can either close them or confirm in the app that they should remain open, and the alarm will switch to Active mode. This feature can also be set to apply only to certain sensors or to none at all.
Option to name sensors and controllers
The iGET SECURITY M5-4G allows you to fully name sensors, controllers, and all accessories. You can enter up to 160 characters, including diacritics. This is certainly more convenient and clearer than having to choose from a preset list of room names.
Multiple user accounts
The iGET SECURITY M5-4G
alarm system includes 3 levels of user accounts. The highest is “Administrator,” who performs all settings and controls. Next is “User”—this user can control the alarm but cannot make settings (arm/disarm/home mode/SOS, view live camera video, control the power outlet, etc.). The lowest level is “Guest,” who can only control the following modes: arm/disarm/home mode/SOS.
Quickly sharing settings and creating an account
If the administrator wants to add another user, it’s very easy. Simply install the “iGET M5”
app on another mobile phone. Then display the QR code for sharing on the first phone and scan it using the app on the second phone. Pairing is now complete.
Tamper protection, power
disconnection
As soon as the alarm detects a signal attempting to jam the frequency band on which the wireless sensors communicate, it immediately triggers an alarm. If the alarm’s main 230 V power supply is disconnected or reconnected, the user is immediately notified via the app. The alarm’s backup battery lasts at least 8 hours.
Low battery in the sensor
The user can check the app at any time to see how much battery life the sensor has left and replace it in time. The app also automatically alerts the user when the sensor’s battery is low so it can be recharged or replaced in time.
Programmable Smart Buttons
The alarm also supports special smart buttons to which functions can be assigned. The EP7 smart button and the fifth button on the EP5 key fob can be used, for example, to control a power outlet and a light bulb, as a doorbell, etc.
Automatic Firmware Update in the Main Unit
The main unit automatically checks for the latest firmware on the server, gradually caches it, and then updates the firmware during periods of low activity. The update is very fast, taking about 1 minute. The update adds new features, upgrades security rules to a higher version, and adds support for additional sensors.
