Support: Mobile Phones

Before you submit a query to our Helpdesk regarding a device malfunction, please review the points below to see if a solution already exists. Please do this, as over 50% of inquiries have a solution described below. Thank you.

Download the Android 11 manual here.

1) SMS messages aren’t coming through
—sometimes SMS messages don’t arrive. In this case, you need to update the messaging app
—Play Store > “Messaging” > Update

2) My iGET EKINOX E6 phone keeps restarting.
The restarting is caused by the Family Link app; instead, use a different app, such as: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kidslox.app. We also recommend not using a Google account on the phone that is set up as a child’s account and paired with the Family Link app. When using this account, the Family Link app will be downloaded and installed the first time you connect to the internet, which will then cause the phone to restart again.

3) According to the specifications, the mobile phone has 8 GB of internal memory, but I see a different number in the settings.
The phone has 8 GB of internal storage, but the usable amount is only 7.7 GB due to the conversion from the decimal to the binary system used by electronics.  This memory is divided into 1–1.8 GB, which is typically claimed by the Android system; then 0.89–2.5 GB, depending on the phone model, for apps and some user data; and the final portion is 4–5 GB for other data (videos, images, etc.) and for data on a connected USB flash drive.
How it works on a phone:
1. Internal storage – storage for apps
2. SD card – (it should really be called an SSD drive or internal SD card) – storage for data such as videos, images, etc.
3. External SD card – a microSD card inserted into the phone that cannot be used to store apps. It is used to store data that you will later want to access on a computer.

4) The internal memory on my phone isn’t enough for apps.
In this case, we recommend uninstalling unused apps and installing an app to clean up data from apps that are stored in memory and not deleted. We recommend the Clean Master app or, alternatively, AppMgr Pro III (App 2 SD).
Some apps can be "Moved to SD" to free up memory for other apps. To move an app, go to the System menu > Apps > select the app > click "Move to SD." This option is supported by only some apps and may not always be available in Android.
Another option is to use the "Clear Data" button in the same interface as in the previous sentence, which clears the cache data that apps store—sometimes unnecessarily.
Another option is to move your photos and downloaded files to the second, larger partition of the internal storage, if the internal storage is partitioned.
You can read more information here.
For tech-savvy users and experts, there is this guide; however, use it at your own risk—we are not liable for any issues that may arise. Rooting your phone will void your warranty.

5) I need to transfer my contacts to another mobile phone.
You can find complete instructions here or here.

6) I need to manage my contacts, SMS, etc., from a computer.
You can use third-party apps that manage data for Android phones. More here and here.

7) How to take screenshots/images of the phone’s display.
Simply press the Power button and the Volume Down button at the same time.

8) When I call a number from my contacts list, the recipient sees my number as hidden.
Contact your carrier, who must disable the hidden number display.

9) I need to assign a ringtone to a group of contacts.
Unfortunately, setting ringtones for individual groups is not possible on Android. This is a limitation of the operating system in general for all mobile phones running it.
However, you can solve this using the Group Ringtones app from Google Play. Once you open the app, you can easily set ringtones for individual groups.

10) I need a more detailed manual than the one included with the phone.
The complete manual for Android 11 is available for download here.

11) I need to enable data transfer on my Blackview mobile device connected to a PC via USB.
Connect the device to your PC via a USB cable > swipe down the top bar and select "Android system" > enable file transfer. Your device is now ready for data transfer.

12) How do I set up call forwarding?
To set up call forwarding, follow these instructions on the mobilmania.cz website http://www.mobilmania.cz/polopate-jak-spravne-pouzivat-presmerovani-hovo...

13) How do I turn off vibration when typing on the keyboard?
Settings/Language & Input/Android Keyboard/Preferences/ and here, turn off "Vibrate on keypress."

14) Enabling notifications for third-party apps (Messenger, Textra, etc.) on the BV6000/BV6000s.
Click Settings/Stop background apps/find the desired app in the list, then check the box next to it.

15) How to use your own music for ringtones, SMS, alarms, etc.?
Copy the desired melody to the correct folder, e.g., for ringtones to storage/emulated/0/media/audio/ringtones/ and for SMS/Notifications to storage/emulated/0/media/audio/notifications/; tones can be downloaded from Google Play, and the app will copy them to the correct location automatically. Generally, always look for the Ringtones and Notifications folders. After copying the files, go to Settings - Sound & notification - General, and then select the copied file for your phone’s ringtone and notification sound; it will appear in the list of all audio files. This has nothing to do with the phone itself; it’s a feature of Android.

16) How to change SMS notification sounds in alternative apps.
In the app with alternative SMS notifications, set the desired notification tone. Then, in the SMS manager, click the three dots in the top right corner and select "Settings." Select "Notifications" and under "Sound," choose "Default Ringtone." Your new notification should now work correctly.

17) Notifications/SMS messages do not appear on the lock screen.
Go to Settings > Sound & Notifications > Notifications and select "When device is locked" > "Show full notification content."

18) Setting individual ringtones for specific contacts.
On the home screen, open the Contacts app—tap a contact—tap the "pencil" icon (edit)—in the contact details, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, then tap Set ringtone—select from the list of pre-installed ringtones or add your own.

19) How to set ringtones for different SIM cards.
By default, the Android system does not allow you to set different ringtones for each SIM card separately.

20) Can I turn off the App Permission Management notification?
You can turn off these notifications only by disabling this feature, which you can find in Settings/Security/App Permissions. Don’t forget to check the box indicating you no longer want to be notified.

21) Updates (downloads, installations) aren’t working on my phone.
First, try verifying that you have a Wi-Fi connection to the Internet.
Try downloading the update on a different Wi-Fi network.
Try the following steps: go to Settings > Apps > tap the three dots in the top-right corner and select Show system apps > find the System Updates app and tap it. Then tap the Storage line, select the CLEAR DATA button, and then the CLEAR CACHE button. Try running the update again.

22) Is it possible to manage a mobile phone using a computer?
Yes, it is possible. For management, we recommend the AirDroid app, which can be downloaded here or from the Play Store. However, compatibility is not 100% guaranteed with all iGET mobile phones.

23) I need to set the keyboard language on my phone to Czech (it’s set to English by default, so I can’t type accents, etc.). In Settings > Language, Czech is selected, yet the keyboard displays English when typing SMS messages or saving contacts.
You also need to set: Settings -> Languages & Input -> Virtual Keyboard -> Android Keyboard -> set "Language" to "Czech".

24) The phone freezes on the logo screen during startup.
Try the following procedure to reset the phone to factory settings:
1) Connect the battery, hold the "Volume +" button, and connect the phone to the charger until the menu appears.
2) Select "Volume +", choose "Recovery", and confirm with "Volume -".
3) After the robot logo appears, press "Power" and "Volume +".
4) In the Recovery menu, select "Wipe data/factory reset", use the + and - buttons to select "Yes", and confirm with the "Power" button.
5) Restart the phone.

For older models such as the ETA, the procedure is as follows:
1) Connect the battery, hold the "Volume +" and "Power" buttons until the Blackview logo appears, then wait for the Recovery menu to load.
2) In the Recovery menu, select "Wipe data/factory reset," use the + and - buttons to select "Yes," and confirm with the "Power" button.
3) Restart the MT.

25) Calibrating the Proximity Sensor During a Call
When a call comes in, the screen is off and you cannot answer the call, or the screen turns on when you hold the phone to your ear.
The solution is to position your head/ear more precisely toward the proximity sensor so that it is fully covered, or to calibrate the proximity sensor.

26) Czech language spell check in SMS and word suggestions.
Android 5.0 and higher may not include a pre-installed dictionary for a given language; for this reason, apps have been developed that add spell-checking and word suggestions. We recommend the GO Keyboard - Emoji app, available for download here, and then install the Czech dictionary GO Keyboard - Emoji, available for download here. After installing the GO Keyboard - Emoji app, click the 1. Choose GO Keyboard button and enable it by sliding the Go Keyboard toggle—read the warning and click the OK button—then click 2. Switch to GO Keyboard and select Go Keyboard again. This will open the settings, where you can further customize everything. The settings are in English. Under Language, select English and click the arrow to go back.

27) The iGET mobile phone cannot be paired with the car.
Try the following procedure. Install the MTK ENGINEERING MODE app (here), select MTK Settings, and in the Bluetooth settings, set SSP Debug mode, Debug Feature, and BT RX ADC Clock selection to "ON."

28) The mobile phone cannot be paired with the car (Option 2).
Try the following procedure:
1) Update the device to the latest firmware and perform a factory reset after this step
2) Disable Battery Optimization for each Bluetooth service, such as
: Bluetooth MIDI Service
, BT Tool
, Bluetooth Sharing
and for every app that requires Bluetooth for data transfer, such as
: Phone
, Phone Services
, Call Management
, Phone/Message Storage
, your music player
, other calling apps, and so on.
3) If the previous step does not resolve your issue, also disable the "Smart Standby Power Saving Mode" setting and disable Duraspeed.
4) If the previous step does not resolve your issue, set the device to "High Performance"
mode 5) Settings – Location – Options – Scanning – Turn off Bluetooth scanning

31) How do I connect headphones to the iGET DEFENDER D10 mobile phone?
The iGET Defender D10 mobile phone uses a shared charging and headphone port. Using a microUSB port, you can connect headphones with a standard 3.5mm jack by using an adapter (not included). The adapter must have an extended microUSB connector.

32) Poor call quality, issue with the earpiece or microphone.
If call quality is poor and you hear static or other disruptive noises during the call, we recommend activating the free Volte service (calling over LTE) with your carrier, which will improve call quality. If you are in an area with poor carrier coverage, you can also use Wi-Fi calling, provided that it is activated with your carrier, your device supports this feature, and there is a strong Wi-Fi signal available.
