Support: Alarms and Accessories

Before you send a query to our Helpdesk regarding a device malfunction, please review the points below to see if a solution already exists. Please do this, as over 50% of inquiries have solutions described below. Thank you.

Classification by alarm:

a) iGET SECURITY M2B Alarm

1) The alarm cannot read the SIM card.
The SIM card must not have a PIN code. If the SIM card has a PIN code, disable it using your mobile phone. After inserting the SIM card into the phone, you can find this setting in the Settings or Security menu.

2) When sending an SMS, the alarm emits loud sounds from the speaker.
Unfortunately, in this case, you must send the alarm to your dealer. A firmware update is required. We will perform the update immediately at our service center and send the alarm back to the dealer.

3) Is there a newer version of the manual than the one included with the alarm? Are versions available in Czech and Slovak?
Yes, the latest versions of the manuals are available on the website, under Products -> Alarms -> iGET SECURITY M2B -> Manuals

4) The alarm does not respond to commands from the key fob.
You must re-pair the key fob with the alarm; follow the instructions in the manual (Adding a Remote Control to the System)

5) The alarm does not respond to a signal from a detector, sensor, or probe.
You must re-pair the detector with the alarm; follow the instructions in the manual (Adding a defensive zone/detector) and then the advanced settings for this detector (Programming defensive zones/detectors)

6) The
red or orange LED on the detector is constantly lit. This indicates a low battery; please replace the battery in the detector as soon as possible.

7) The LED
on the central unit’s power adapter is not lit. The power adapter is defective; contact Technical Support. If the alarm is under warranty, a new adapter will be sent to you free of charge.

8) What are the assigned numbers for the PIR detector and door detector included in the M2B basic set? For further configuration, etc.
The door detector is number 01, and the PIR motion detector is number 02.

9) How do I change the SMS texts for individual detectors?
Advanced detector settings are configured according to section 20 in the manual: “Programming Detectors.” Several options are available here; other options are not possible.

10) Is it possible to set zone names other than the predefined ones?

12) Does the iGET SECURITY M2B alarm send SMS messages in Czech?
Yes, it does; for example, an alarm message looks like this:
04 Zone Room 1 Alarm.
This indicates that an alarm has been triggered in zone 4, designated as Room 1.

b) iGET SECURITY M3 Alarm

1) Does the key fob not respond to my commands, or does it respond only occasionally?
– When using the key fob, you must always press and hold the button for 1 to 2 seconds; this is a safeguard against accidental presses.

4) The outdoor siren has additional settings in the app, but the siren does not respond to them.
- Please install the new firmware for the M3 alarm available at www.iget.eu.

—Simply send a single command from the iGET app on your mobile phone (e.g., activate the alarm), and the time and date will be loaded within 1 minute of activation.

6) Can the SIM card in the alarm have a PIN code?
- No, please cancel the PIN code request using your mobile phone and then insert the SIM card into the alarm.

- The alarm communicates with the mobile app via SMS messages. The camera communicates separately and transmits a video stream via a WiFi connection to a wireless home network or via an Ethernet cable.

16) Sometimes the iGET SECURITY M3 alarm cannot be activated/deactivated using the key fob.
- You must download the latest firmware from www.iget.eu

The default password for the administrator to add an alarm is 123456. For users, it is 1234.

This is not possible; the cameras only support connection via the iOS/Android app

28) The iGET SECURITY M3 alarm does not send an SMS to a second phone number during an alarm; it only sends to the first number.
The second SMS will be sent only after the first SMS has been sent; please just wait—the SMS will arrive. If an alarm is triggered and you deactivate it after a few seconds, the alarm will not have time to send the second SMS, only the first one.

29) After installing the alarm app on my new phone, only some features are available, so I cannot add new devices or set the alarm schedule.
During installation, you must enter the password 123456 to create an administrator account; if you enter a user account with the password 1234, only some features will be available. If you are pairing the alarm with a new phone, you must reset the alarm to factory settings and set it up again with the new phone.

Check to see if you have the latest version of the app installed; if not, install it from the Google Play/iOS Store.
Before pairing, you must briefly press the Reset button on the keypad. If you forgot to do this, you must unpair the keypad from the app, then turn it off and on again and press the Reset button. Then pair the keypad with the alarm again.

31) When changing phones, is it possible to transfer the settings from the app to the new phone?
For the M3 alarm: No, unfortunately, you must perform the entire setup again.

32) What should I do if the QR code on an accessory is damaged?
- The device "ID" is listed below the QR code; simply enter this ID into a QR code generator, and a new QR code will be generated. Then just scan it. For example, you can use this generator: http://www.qr-code-generator.com

33) I use a dual-SIM phone and still cannot set up or control the iGET SECURITY M3 alarm.
You must uninstall the iGET SECURITY M3 app and leave only the SIM card you want to use for communication with the alarm in your phone. Then install the iGET SECURITY M3 app and pair it with the alarm. You can now insert the second SIM card into your phone.

34) The M3 alarm does not send SMS alerts, although it does send SMS messages regarding settings, activation, and deactivation.
In Settings -> Emergency Contacts, enter your phone number for the first contact and check either the SMS or call option. You cannot use both at the same time! For the SMS option, select which SMS you want to receive. If you are testing the system, let the alarm run for at least 30 seconds, as the alarm must start sending the SMS when the alarm is triggered. If you deactivate it immediately after triggering the alarm, it won’t have time to send the SMS.

35) Unable to add an accessory; the alarm reports an unknown error.
You must enter accessory names without diacritics or special characters.

36) Cannot add accessories; the alarm reports an unknown error or the app crashes.
You must take a photo of these QR codes and send them via the helpdesk system. A technician will generate new QR codes that are fully functional and send them to you. We apologize for these complications; the helpdesk system is available here: https://helpdesk.intelek.cz

c) iGET SECURITY M4 / M5-4G alarm system and accessories EP15, EP18, EP20

1) How can I remove/unpair an accessory from the alarm list?
- Open the list where the accessory is located. Swipe from right to left on the row containing the accessory; a prompt asking if you want to delete it will appear on the right side of that row. For an IP camera, click on the camera name; a prompt asking if you want to delete it will appear at the bottom.

- When configuring via the iGET M4 app, turn off mobile data on your phone; leave only the WiFi connection enabled.

3) The alarm is not reading the SIM card.
- Check whether the SIM card has a PIN code; it must be disabled.
- Check whether the card is actually activated; that is, insert it into a mobile phone and send an SMS message from it to another mobile phone. If the message is sent and delivered, everything is fine.
- Trim the SIM card down to the smallest microSIM size and insert it into a SIM card adapter; see the link below for an example. Some SIM cards are narrow, and the alarm cannot read them without an adapter; the adapter adds thickness to the SIM card, allowing it to be read.

4) Access via RTSP on iGET SECURITY EP15 / EP18 /
EP20 cameras – to access the video stream, we recommend using VLC Player,

5) What is the data usage of the M5-4G alarm when connected to a 4G/LTE network?
- Approximately 300 MB per month,
- The size of the new firmware for the alarm ranges from 10 MB to 20 MB.

b) Now select the access rights the new user will have: Administrator/User/Guest.
c) A QR code will appear for scanning.
d) Now install the app on the second phone and launch it.
e) Now click "Sign Up" and register using your email or phone number via the "Create Account" button.
f) After logging in, click "Add Alarm via QR Code" and scan the QR code displayed on the first phone.
